According to the statistics released by
France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's
manufacturing output in July this year decreased 0.7 percent compared to June.
In July,
France's
production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, improved by 1.3 percent, following a month-on-month decrease of 1.5 percent in June, the
production of the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry decreased by 11.2 percent, after a 7.4 percent month-on-month fall recorded in the previous month, while the output of the
construction industry saw a slight increase of 0.3 percent in July, after remaining stable in June compared to May, all compared to the previous month.
In the May-July quarter,
France's
production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, decreased by 0.2 percent, while
production of
France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry declined by 1.8 percent, both compared to the previous quarter. In May-July, the output of the
construction industry in
France saw a 0.1 percent decrease quarter on quarter.
