Dan DiMicco, former Nucor CEO and chairman emeritus, announced this week the publication of his book “American Made” on March 3. According to his website, the book’s message is that “manufacturing is alive and well and shouldn’t be ignored for its ability to create well-paying jobs.” The book also discusses the “false promise of green jobs” and exposes the hidden costs of outsourcing jobs overseas.

St. Martin’s Press is publishing the book, which will be available at major booksellers.

DiMicco retired from Nucor in early 2013 and currently serves on the board of directors of Duke Energy.
