Foreign direct investment in China up 7.9 percent in January-November

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-November period of the current year totaled $114.04 billion, up 7.9 percent year on year, with a total of 23,648 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, rising by 11 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).

In the January-November period of this year, $35.84 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) went into China’s manufacturing industry, down 0.2 percent year on year, accounting for 31.4 percent of the total FDI figure, while $69.58 billion of FDI went into the country’s services industry, rising by 18.8 percent year on year, accounting for 61 percent of the total.
