Finished steel prices in Hebei soften in January from December levels

In January this year, finished steel prices in China's Hebei Province decreased as compared to December. In particular, in January the average prices of rebar, wire rod and round bar were recorded at RMB 4,193/mt ($662.2/mt), RMB 4,401/mt ($695.1/mt) and RMB 4,432/mt ($700.0/mt), down 6.8 percent, 5.0 percent and 4.2 percent month on month, as announced by Hebei Price Monitoring Center.
