Finished steel inventory in China rises sharply during February

As of February 27 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 12.05 million mt, up 3.7 million mt or 44.3 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.89 million mt, 1.34 million mt, 1.31 million mt, 1.98 million mt and 5.53 million mt, respectively increasing by 33.1 percent, 14.3 percent, 25.9 percent, 110.4 percent and 46.4 percent month on month.
