Finished steel inventories in China increase during March

As of March 31 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 16.45 million mt, up 1.56 million mt or 10.5 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 2.05 million mt, 1.92 million mt, 1.17 million mt, 3.38 million mt and 7.93 million mt, respectively increasing by 15.0 percent, remaining stable, decreasing by 11.9 percent, rising by 5.0 percent and increasing by 19.4 percent, month on month.
