Final results of sunset review on HR flat products from Brazil

The US Department of Commerce (DOC), on May 3, 2004 initiated sunset review of the countervailing duty order on hot rolled flat rolled carbon quality steel products imported from Brazil. On the basis of adequate responses from domestic interested parties and inadequate responses from respondent interested parties, DOC determined to conduct an expedited (120-day) sunset review for the countervailing duty order on imports of subject merchandise. As a result of the review, DOC determined that revocation of the countervailing duty order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of the subsidies at the levels indicated below:
