Evraz HSR waiting period for Claymont buyout expires

The Russian steel and iron ore producer Evraz Group (Evraz) announced on January 7, 2008 the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act of 1976 (HSR) relating to its tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares in US-based plate producer Claymont Steel.

The tender offer in question will expire at 12:00 midnight New York time on January 16, 2008, unless extended in accordance with the merger agreement and the applicable rules and regulations of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
