European new commercial vehicle market grows in February

In February this year, new commercial vehicle registrations amounted to 141,914 units in the European Union, increasing by 16.8 percent as compared to February 2010 and up 16.38 percent month on month, according to the data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). In the given month, all segments posted growth, except buses and coaches.
 
On the other hand, in the first two months of 2011, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU increased by 18.5 percent year on year, totaling 290,695 units. Growth occurred across all categories.
