EU, Ukraine to hold talks in Kiev

According to the release of the Ukraine's Mission to the European Union (EU), the talks between the representatives of the European Commission and the Ministries of Economy and Industrial Policy of Ukraine on the implementation of the Agreement on Trade in Certain Steel Products in 2006 and outlining new arrangements for the next period will be held on September 7-8, 2006, in Kiev, Ukraine. During the meeting, it is planned to discuss the possibility of increasing of quotas for Ukrainian steel products imports to the EU due to the raising demand from European consumers for Ukrainian steel. In addition, the participants will focus on the issue of exemption of semi finished steel products from quota regulations.
