EU scrap prices down significantly in October

According to indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), in October this year local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) indicated a 17 percent decrease compared to the previous month, continuing the month-on-month declines which started last June.

Meanwhile, in October, significant decreases, of 39.4 percent on average, were recorded on year-on-year basis, as shown in the following table:
