Erdemir offers the highest bid in local iron ore mine tender

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, a tender was initiated on January 30, 2004 for the privatization of Divrigi-Hekimhan Industry and Trade Corp. (Div-Han) by Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Privatization Administration. The bidders in the tender were Erdemir, Kardemir and Park Enerji Yatirim Holding A.S. It is reported that, in the first session of the tender, Park Enerji Yatirim Holding submitted a bid of $27.25 million while Erdemir offered a bid of $28.25 million, resulting in withdrawal of Kardemir from the tender. In the second session, Erdemir's increasing its bid to $28.5 million resulted in withdrawal of Park Enerji Yatirim Holding. The finalization of the tender is not approved officially yet.
