Germany-based steel giant ThyssenKrupp AG announced that Ekkehard Schulz will step down from the company's supervisory board at the end of the year, following the net loss announced for the financial year ended on September 30.

Mr. Schulz stated that by leaving the board he wants to put an end to the public discussions about his investment decisions at ThyssenKrupp Steel Americas.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, ThyssenKrupp issued a net loss of €1.76 billion for the mentioned period due to startup losses in Brazil and the US.
