Ecuadorian long steelmaker Andec will build a new distribution center in the city of Guayaquil, according to local media.

The company’s new distribution center aims to help it strengthen and improve access to clients in the industrial areas of Ecuador, reducing delivery times and allowing clients to take shipments themselves.

The new distribution center will have a 5,000 mt capacity and will be able to ship 500 mt of steel per day, a media report said. Earlier in September, Andec opened a new office in the north area of Quito.

The steelmaker expects to open more offices in other Ecuadorian cities as part of a commercial strategy that is expected to help the company strengthen relationships with clients.
