Dunaferr union authorities deal with government

Hungary's state owned steel producer Dunaferr's workers' unions authorities and the government have agreed on the company's planned privatization in an employee forum on October 6, 2003. It is reported that unions have protected the job guarantees and collective bargaining right in the meeting, although the privatization tender did not include an employment condition. However, the company that is going to purchase Dunaferr, will have to maintain integrated steel making and production levels.
