CSC announces 2003 results

Taiwanese steel producer China Steel Corp. (CSC) announced that it produced 10.2 million tons of steel in 2003. This figure is higher than the 10.1 million tons forecasted for 2003. Company's sales volume reached 10.4 million tons in 2003 when compared to 10.3 million tons expected for 2003. CSC's exports amounted to 2.6 million tons while domestic sales are recorded as 7.8 million tons. Company reported a revenue of NTD 129.7 trillion ($3.85 billion) for 2003. Furthermore, pre-tax income is recorded as NTD 45.1 trillion ($1.3 billion).
