Corus hikes prices in April

Anglo-Dutch steel maker Corus has recently announced that it hikes its prices minimum by £35 per ton in UK and €40 in mainland Europe to be valid for most of the products as of April 1, 2004. These increases indicate a10% increase in the prices. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Corus increased its prices 5% to 8% in January 2004. The increase in the prices will be effected depending on the rising steel prices worldwide due to rise in the prices of cost, shipping and raw materials. Meanwhile, Corus' division Corus Colors has recently announced that it plans to increase prices of organic coated steel by 8% to be valid for all deliveries as of April 1, 2004.
