Construction work starts on new steel projects in Fengnan, Tangshan

On November 25, construction work started on ten key projects, including six steel or steel-related projects, in Fengnan district in the key Chinese steelmaking city of Tangshan, with an overall investment of RMB 2.69 billion ($0.41 billion), as reported by the official website of Tangshan municipal government.

The steel projects include a 2.2 million mt cold rolled galvanized steel project of Tangshan Jingjin Cold Rolled Hot Galvanized Company, 1.0 million mt medium-wide strip cold rolled project of Tangshan Weiyu Cold Rolled Hot Galvanized Company, 2.3 million mt hot galvanized project of Tangshan Xingkai Metal Products Company, 410,000 mt cold rolled galvanized project of Tangshan Shengxin Cold Rolled Sheet Company, a comprehensive environmental management project of Tangshan Rongfeng Steel Company and a 100MW super-high temperature subcritical gas generation project of Tangshan Ruifeng Steel Group.
