Construction starts on 850 mm cold rolling stainless project in Fujian

Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) has announced that construction work on the 850 mm cold rolling stainless steel project of Fujian Dingxin Scientific Technology Co. was officially launched on July 26.

Work on the project is being carried out by China 20MCC Construction Group (20MCC Group), a subsidiary of MCC. Fujian Dingxin Scientific Technology Co. is a subsidiary of Qingtuo Group, which is controlled by Qingshan Iron and Steel Group.

The 850 mm cold rolling project is one of the key steel projects being built in Fujian Province in the current year. The project consists of one cold rolling production line, 15 rough rolling annealing lines, four fine rolling annealing lines and other supplementary facilities. Upon completion, the new facilities will have an annual output capacity of 500,000 mt of stainless steel cold rolled coil and an annual output value of RMB 10 billion ($1.6 billion).
