Coal shipments by China’s railways down 13.2 percent in January-October

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in October this year coal shipments by Chinese railways amounted to 157 million mt, down 19.7 percent year on year, while in the January-October period this year, coal shipments totaled 1.66 billion mt, decreasing by 13.2 percent year on year.

In the January-October period this year, the railway line from Datong, Shanxi Province to Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province transported 330 million mt of coal, down 10.5 percent year on year.
