South Africa-based Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT), one of the world's largest coal handling ports, has announced that it exported 5.56 million mt of coal in October, up 6.2 percent from 5.24 million mt in September but down 24.7 percent year on year.
Coal exports from the terminal in the first 10 months of the year amounted to 55.01 million mt, increasing by 7.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Stocks at the terminal stood at almost 4 million mt at the end of October.
