CME Group records HRC futures trading record in February

The CME Group announced Tuesday that it reached monthly trading volume records for its NYMEX US Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil Steel Index futures (HRC) and options (HRO) contracts in February.

During the month of February, US Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil Steel Index futures set a monthly volume record of 6,619 contracts, which surpassed the previous record of 6,214 contracts set in January 2012. At the same time, US Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil Steel Index Average Price options recorded a monthly record of 1,350 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 1,000 set in August 2012.
