Cleveland, Ohio-based mining company Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. announced Tuesday that longwall operations at the company's coal mine in West Virginia--the Pinnacle Mine--have resumed.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, operations at the mine were halted in May of this year because of detected levels of carbon monoxide. In June, Cliffs had announced that its initial remediation plan for the mine was denied by regulatory agencies and it didn't expect operations to restart until Q4 of this year.
