CISA: China’s daily crude steel output in early January reaches 1.79 million mt

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in early January (January 1-10) average daily crude steel output in China reached 1.79 million mt, marking an increase on the average daily crude steel output figure of 1.73 million mt for late December 2010 (December 21-31).
 
According to the CISA, the average daily crude steel output of the 76 member companies of the CISA in early January was 1.321 million mt, compared to 1.317 million mt in late December.
 
On January 20, China's National Bureau of Statistics announced that in December last year Chinese crude steel output totaled 51.52 million mt, up 6.3 percent year on year, while China's crude steel output for the whole of 2010 was 627 million mt, up 9.3 percent year on year.
