CISA: China’s average daily crude steel output falls to 1,871,500 mt in late Aug

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in late August (August 21-31) this year the average aggregate daily production of crude steel by large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1,521,400 mt, down 3.73 percent compared to mid-August (August 11-20). In late August, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 1,871,500 mt, indicating a decrease of 3.05 percent compared with mid-August.

In the whole month of August, the average aggregate daily output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China was 1,575,400mt: Meanwhile, in the given month the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steel producers in China amounted to 1,912,500 mt, lower than the 1,990,000 mt recorded in July, according to the CISA.
