CISA will focus on electric furnace steelmaking, development and utilization of steel scrap resources, and encouraging the export of high-end steel exports in 2023, as stated by Luo Tiejun, the vice president of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
Meanwhile, CISA plans to do research and study the raw materials for electric furnace steelmaking and related technical issues in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Sichuan Provinces, aiming to give suggestions from professional perspective.
Moreover, CISA preliminarily gave relevant solutions in terms of the development and utilization of steel scrap resources in view of the current increase in the cost of scrap procurement and the long-term problem of tax bill separation.
First of all, CISA will revise recycled steel raw material standard. Secondly, China will simplify taxes, for instance, adopt some e-commerce verification tax. Thirdly, China will strengthen the cultivation of leading enterprises. Fourthly, CISA hoped that China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) will include scrap in the statistical scope.
Furthermore, CISA called for minimizing the export of low-end products and encouraging the export of high-end products.
