Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Steel has announced that in May this year it produced 391,420 mt of finished steel products, declining by 6.8 percent compared to 420,000 mt in May 2011.
In addition, during the first five months of the current year the total finished steel production of Chongqing Steel came to 2.02 million mt, down 12.3 percent as compared with 2.3 million mt in the corresponding period of last year.
