Sigang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, subsidiary of Chongqing city-based Chongqing Steel Group, has lately carried out successful hot run tests at its new 1,450 mm cold rolled production line, commissioning the line in question.
The cold rolled production line has a designed annual production capacity of 300,000 mt. This overall cold rolled project includes a pickling line, a cold rolled strip production line, a continuous decarburizing annealing line, a slitting line and an acid regeneration plant (ARP). The total investment in the project amounted to RMB 440 million ($65.8 million).
