Chinese vice premier to hold new round of trade talks with US on Oct 10-11

At the invitation of the United States, China’s Vice Premier Liu He will lead a delegation of leading Chinese economic experts for a new round of high-level trade talks with the US in Washington on October 10-11.

The officials in the Chinese delegation will be from the ministry of commerce, the central bank, the information technology ministry and the agricultural ministry, indicating that the topics to be discussed in the trade talks will cover the related areas.

The delegation will meet US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced.

The Chinese delegation will include Zhong Shan, commerce minister, Yi Gang, governor of the People’s Bank of China, Ning Jizhe, vice director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Liao Min, deputy finance minister, and Zheng Zeguang, deputy foreign affairs minister.
