In the January-March period of the current year, the 80 medium-sized and large shipbuilding enterprises in China realized an aggregate gross industrial output value of RMB 79.9 billion ($11.9 billion), up 3.4 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI).
In the given period, the shipbuilding enterprises in question achieved aggregate exports totaling RMB 32.0 billion ($4.8 billion) in value, up 5.3 percent year on year.
In the January-March period this year, the shipbuilding enterprises recorded an aggregate operating revenue of RMB 53.3 billion ($7.9 billion), up 4.9 percent, and a total gross profit of RMB 350 million ($52.2 million), rising by 66.0 percent year on year.
