Chinese mills increase prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai Following Baosteel's hot rolled price increase earlier in the day, Shanxi province based Taiyuan Iron and Steel Company, and Hebei province based Handan Iron and Steel Group have also increased their prices. According to the reports, Taiyuan Steel increased its hot rolled coil prices about RMB 430/mt ($53). Meanwhile, Handan Steel raised its hot dip galvanized iron base prices by RMB 400/mt ($50) and pickled and oiled hot rolled coil prices by RMB 600/mt ($75). SteelOrbis will provide the new ex-factory prices of the mills later.
