China’s rebar output decreases by four percent in January-May

In May this year, China's outputs of rebar and steel bars amounted to 17.647 million mt and 6.464 million mt, down 2.6 percent and 6.8 percent year on year, respectively, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-May period of the current year, China's rebar and steel bar outputs totaled 82.339 million mt and 30.691 million mt, decreasing by 4.0 percent and 4.7 percent year on year, respectively.
