China’s thermal coal imports up 58.5 percent in March

In March this year, China imported 8.02 million mt of thermal coal, up 1.54 million mt or 23.77 percent month on month and increasing by 2.96 million mt or 58.5 percent year on year. In the January-March period, China’s imports of thermal coal totaled 24.09 million mt, rising by 120.81 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
