China’s semi-finished imports decline by 26.8 percent in Q1

In the January-March period of this year, China imported 260,000 mt of semi-finished steel, decreasing by 26.8 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

In March alone, China imported 100,000 mt of semi-finished steel, up 18.2 percent year on year.
