China’s retail sales of consumer goods up 10.2 percent in January-May

In May this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 2.6611 trillion ($1.33 trillion), up 10.0 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on June 13.
 
In the January-May period this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 12.9281 trillion ($1.96 trillion), up 10.2 percent year on year. In particular, in the given period total automotive vehicle sales in China amounted to a value of RMB 1.4948 trillion ($0.23 trillion), rising by 7.3 percent year on year.
