China’s retail sales of consumer goods up 10.2 percent in 2017

In December last year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 3.4734 trillion ($0.54 trillion), up 9.4 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In 2017, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods reached RMB 36.6262 trillion ($5.69 trillion), rising by 10.2 percent year on year. In particular, in the given period, total automotive vehicle sales in China reached a value of RMB 4.2222 trillion ($0.66 trillion), increasing by 5.6 percent year on year.
