China's PPI up 6.9 percent in September

In September this year, China's producer price index (PPI) increased by 6.9 percent year on year and was up one percent month on month, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 16. Meanwhile, in September Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were up 8.5 percent year on year and up 1.2 percent compared to August.

As for the average price index in the January-September period this year, China's producer price index (PPI) increased by 6.5 percent year on year, while Chinese industrial producers' purchase prices were up 8.4 percent year on year.

In September this year, the PPI for capital goods increased by 9.1 percent year on year. Specifically, in September the PPI for the domestic raw material industry was up 11.9 percent, while the index for the processing industry rose by 7.3 percent, both year on year.
