China’s overall rail freight volume down 10.9 percent in Jan-Aug

In the January-August period this year, the overall rail freight volume in China totaled 2.26 billion mt, down 10.9 percent year on year, according to China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

In the given period, the freight traffic volume on China’s railways amounted to 193.2 billion mt-km, down 17.3 percent year on year.
