China’s overall rail freight volume down 0.8 percent in 2016

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced that in December last year the overall freight volume transported on China’s railways amounted to 316 million mt, up 9.8 percent year on year.
In 2016, the overall freight volume transported on China’s railways amounted to 3.33 billion mt, down 0.8 percent year on year.
