In December last year, China produced 97,000 new energy vehicles, up 26.6 percent month on month, according to latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
In 2016, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 517,000 units, up 51.7 percent on year-on-year basis, including 417,000 pure electric passenger cars and 99,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 63.9 percent and 15.7 percent year on year, respectively.
