China’s new energy vehicle output quadruples in January-November

In November this year, China produced 72,300 new energy vehicles, up six-fold on year-on-year basis, including 30,000 pure electric passenger cars, 7,509 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, 30,900 pure electric commercial vehicles and 3,893 plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles, according to latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
 
In the January-November period of the year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 279,200 units, quadrupling on year-on-year basis, including 117,200 pure electric passenger cars, 53,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, 90,100 pure electric commercial vehicles and 18,900 plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles.
