China’s GDP foreseen to rise by 6.6 percent in 2017

China’s gross domestic product (GDP) is foreseen to grow at a rate of 6.6 percent in 2017, while the country’s consumer price index (CPI) is expected to rise to 2.15 percent in the year in question, according to the Spring Forecast Report of China's Quarterly Macro Econometric Model (CQMM) 2017 released by Xiamen University.

The research is based on China's Quarterly Macro Econometric Model (CQMM) developed in 2006 by the Macro Economy Research Center at Xiamen University. CQMM is currently the most widely used macroeconomic forecast model across China
