China’s foreign trade volume exceeds $3 trillion to date in 2011

According to the Chinese customs authorities, in the current year up to November 2 China's foreign trade volume has reached $3 trillion, marking a new historic high, and comparing with $2.97 trillion in the whole year of 2010.
 
Of total Chinese year-to-date exports, the traditional major markets in Europe, the US and Japan account for 43.7 percent, down two percentage points year on year. At the same time, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries have become the third largest trading partner of China, with the total trade value of $267.09 billion during the given period, rising by 26.4 percent year on year.
