China’s finished steel exports down 2.6 percent in H1

In the January-June period this year, China exported 34.399 million mt of finished steel, down 2.6 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on July 12.

In the January-June period of the current year, China exported 3.846 million mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 19.7 percent year on year.

In June alone, China exported 5.306 million mt of finished steel, down 23.5 percent, while exporting 382,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 60.2 percent, both year on year.
