According to Chinese customs, in the January-June period of the current year China's total external trade value reached $1.70367 trillion, up 25.8 percent compared with the same period of last year. In H1 this year, China's exports reached $874.3 billion in value, up 24 percent, while its imports totaled $829.37 billion, up 27.6 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In the first half of this year, bilateral trade between the EU and China reached a value of $265.89 billion, an increase of 21.3 percent year on year. At the same time, bilateral trade between the US and China in H1 amounted to a value of $206.44 billion, an increase of 20.1 percent over H1 2010. Meanwhile, in January-June this year, bilateral trade between ASEAN countries and China totaled a value of $171.12 billion, up 25.4 percent, while bilateral trade between Japan and China amounted to $162.35 billion, up 19 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In June this year, China's total external trade value reached $301.69 billion, increasing by 18.5 percent year on year. China's export value in the given month reached $161.98 billion, up 17.95 percent, while the value of its imports in June was $139.71 billion, up 19.3 percent, both compared to the same period last year.
