In China, excavator sales in April decreased to 27,000 units, compared to sales of more than 40,000 excavators in March, according to Kang Zhiqian, deputy secretary of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association.

In April, domestic manufacturers Sany Heavy Industry, Guangxi Liugong Machinery and Xiamen XGMA Machinery recorded excavator sales of 3,208 units, 806 units and 374 units, respectively.

According to industry experts, some excavator manufacturers may use aggressive sales tactics to increase their market share, while distributors may offer zero down-payment schemes to attract buyers.
