China's crude steel output totals 54.31 million mt in February

According to the latest data issued by China's National Bureau of Statistics, in February this year China produced a total of 54.31 million mt of crude steel, up by 9.7 percent year on year. In the first two months of the current year, China's domestic crude steel production amounted to 114.18 million mt, up 12.6 percent year on year.

In February, China's pig iron production reached 50.51 million mt, up by 10 percent year on year. In the first two months of the year, domestic pig iron output registered a year-on-year increase of 8.9 percent to 102.68 million mt.

Also in February, China's output of finished steel products amounted to 63.54 million mt, up by 17.4 percent year on year. In the first two months of the current year, Chinese finished steel production reached 130.87 million mt, up by 14.5 percent year on year.
