China’s CPI rises by 1.7 percent in January

In January this year, China’s consumer price index (CPI) indicated a year-on-year increase of 1.7 percent, down 0.2 percentage points compared to the year-on-year growth rate recorded in December last year, according to the data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 

Meanwhile, China’s consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.5 percent month on month in January.
