China’s coal output up 2.5 percent in January-April

In April this year, China’s raw coal production totaled 294.53 million mt, rising by 9.9 percent, while its metallurgical coke output amounted to 38.32 million mt, up 5.9 percent, both year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-April period of current year, China’s raw coal output totaled 1.10828 billion mt, increasing by 2.5 percent, while its metallurgical coke output came to 145.51 million mt, up 5.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
