China’s coal output increases by 0.4 percent in Q1

In the January-March period this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 810.0 million mt, increasing by 0.4 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In March alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 300.0 million mt, up 2.7 percent year on year.

In March, China imported 23.48 million mt of coal, down 12.1 percent year on year, while importing 74.62 million mt of coal in the January-March period of the year, down 1.8 percent year on year.
